The Nova Institute was founded in the fall of 2000.
The Institute's mission is to
build a
bridge
between Waldorf Education and contemporary educators, not to champion a cause, but rather to
encourage dialogue and a sense of common purpose.
Nova seeks to promote a two-way flow of educational exchange, offering mainstream schools
a comprehensive picture of child development and children's developmental needs,
while at the same time edifying and informing Waldorf Schools about effective and innovative work being done in American education today.
This interchange is essential.
